Riley House

The photograph shows the Riley House on Main Street, with a J. Enright stagecoach in front. It was built by Peter Bamberger in 1827 when it was called Bamberger’s Inn. Later it was operated by a son-in-law P.B. Riley. The early Town meetings and court sessions were held here. The first Town Council meeting after incorporation was also held here.
